Originally from San Diego, CA, Daniella is a mixed race queer theatre maker who graduated magna cum laude from the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University in St. Louis, MO with a degree in directing. Following her time in St. Louis, Daniella spent the 2016-2017 season with Milwaukee Repertory Theatre as a Directing Emerging Professional Resident, where she assistant directed six shows, including their new production of A Christmas Carol (adapted and directed by Artistic Director Mark Clements). In addition to the Milwaukee Rep, Daniella has assistant directed at companies such as the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis and Steppenwolf Theatre Company. She has directed across the country, with a goal of directing in all 50 states — so far, she’s at 8!

Daniella currently serves as the Associate Artistic Director of Constellation Stage & Screen, a small professional theater in Bloomington, IN. In addition to Constellation, her prior work as an arts administrator includes grant writing as a part of Artistic Fundraising Group in Chicago, IL; grant writing for small theatrical groups throughout Chicago as an independent contractor; and serving on the steering committee of DirectorsLabChicago, of which she is an alumna.
